柔らかな光が葉の隙間をすり抜ける、その一瞬を留めるように、薔薇を合わせました。

透明なガラスの奥に刻まれた薔薇は、表に咲く花ではありません。光の層のさらに奥、触れられない場所に静かに留められた薔薇となっています。正面からは淡く、角度を変えると輪郭が浮かび、また光に溶けていくインタリオとなっています。

揺れる半球型のガラスは、1910年代のフランスで生まれたアンティークガラス。当時の職人が感覚と経験だけを頼りに吹き上げたため、輪郭や厚みにはわずかな揺らぎが残されています。その揺らぎがあるからこそ、薔薇のインタリオは均一に見えず、見るたびに異なる表情を見せます。

このガラスの内側にはモアッサナイトを忍ばせています。屈折した光が石に触れ、さらに薔薇の彫りを通過することで、輝きは一方向に定まらず、奥へ奥へと広がります。花びらの線に光が引っかかり、茎の部分で影が生まれ、また消えていく。その変化そのものが、このピアスの景色です。

薔薇は古くから、美しさと儚さ、そして時間の象徴として扱われてきました。1910年代のフランスは、アール・ヌーヴォーの流れを受け継ぎながら、装飾から構造へと美意識が移ろう時代。このインタリオの薔薇もまた、過剰な装飾ではなく、線と奥行きだけで花を語っています。

ガラスは当時特有の鉛分を含む配合により、透明でありながら柔らかな光を帯びています。その中に刻まれた薔薇は、はっきりと主張することはありませんが、確かにそこに在り続けます。近づいた人だけが気づく花です。

耳元で小さく揺れるたび、薔薇は咲いては消え、また光の奥へ戻る、100年以上前のフランスの時間と、今この瞬間が、静かに重なるような耳飾りです◎
